Well, you've now reached the crux of this little operation I call my website. Here you will find my various creations for Palladium Games, as well as my vast "Retoolings" of existing settings and scenarios to fit into the RPG mechanics of my favourite system. Gamers, feast your eyes upon these humble treasures, and I sincerely hope you have a field day with my works. Enjoy!
...the air swims with a green haze, and the heat is incredible as you appear in the middle of a large room made of stone blocks. The room has no doors and no windows, yet it is somehow totally light within this place. Your ears ringing with an ethereal, exotic music, you make your way through this shifting, crackling fog towards a vague booming sound and flashing light in the center of the gigantic yet tiny and cramped chamber...
...then you see him. He is a tall, wiry celtic youth, with eyes the same shade as the lightning-ridden fog. He silently grunts with exertion as he lets fall his great hammer upon the pale, molten metal he half holds in one hand, with a great reservoir of the stuff before him as he labours. He is a smith of the mind, his labour that of thought and wisdom, and his tools are but reflections of his genius. Turning to you, he smiles like a weary young king and speaks liltingly and softly "Welcome traveler...will you gaze upon my wares?"
454TH EDITION RULES
Or more accurately, House Rules. Palladium is an excellent system, IMO few are any better. But no system can be 100% accurate or 100% perfect. So, I've made my own modifications to the system, and I think that it runs a lot better in a lot of respects this way. You'll also notice that I've crafted a lot of the material to be found on this site using them. In any event, here they are so feel free to use them any way you wish.
454th Mutant Animal Rules - Mutant Animals, done the RIGHT way. These are updated and expanded annotations to the existing BIO-E system. (Down for possible rewrite - See inside.)
454th Strength Rules - Just how long will it take you to break that rock into itty bitty pieces? With this handy article, you can finally figure that out.
Building a better you, by tampering in the domain of the gods. I'm a pretty big fan of games, shows, movies and such that come up with novel and interesting ways of building superhumans or what have you, and I commonly like to exploit these themes in the games I play. This section contains material mainly suitable to Rifts® and Heroes Unlimited™, but with a little imagination could be applied just about anywhere.
Popsicle - An experiment to improve the human body that produced extremely unorthodox results with lethal consequences (Gee, who'da thunk?) Literally ice cold killers to a being, the feared "Popsicles" have been the bane of many an unwary or skeptical foe.
Minor Super Powers - 24 minor super powers fully compatible with those found in HU2Ed.
...and now you are here. The green, electrically hot fog in the Forge that surrounded the Maker is now replaced by a cool, luminescent blue mist. This room is as the last one, cavernous and yet also spartan. The rows of tables and desks are laden with meticulously and confusingly laid out chemicals, specimens alive, dead, and undead, and all manner of unwordly paraphenelia. Almost afraid to break the near-religious silence, you can almost hear monk-like chanting in the background as you explore the sanctum.
He stands before a cauldron which gives off an unrelenting torrent of the blue mist, and bubbles and churns with otherworldly reactions and changes. He bends over the mix, whispering to it like a father to his newborn son. His many jewelry-like decorations stand out in contrast to his simple blue robe, and when he looks up at you, his azure eyes see right into your heart and soul. "Welcome, I am the Converter..." This scholarly double to the wiry Maker gestures at the pool "Please, see yourself and others as they are in places other then their own..."
The Fuzzy Dice Directory - Somewhere, out in the infinity of alternate dimensions to the Primary Earth we live on, there lies a world...populated with various anthropomorphic animals, rather then with Homo Sapiens Sapiens. Yup, the wonderful world of Furs, now brought to your role-playing tables as only I can! [Associates: Ryan J. Smith, Angal the Chupa Boy]
- Even years after the Quake incursion into this dimension, much of the details concerning the otherdimensional menace codenamed "Quake" were conflicting on non-existant. Here is the research portfolio and intelligence compilation that finally provides clear answers.
The Official Protean Nonconversion List - Having a severely distorted form of thought process, I firmly believe that everything should mesh with everything else, and thus all the converting I do. But sometimes I come across a real winner of a loser, something so utterly ludicrous even I can't abide by converting it. And here's exactly what qualifies.
Your travels continue, it would seem. For we move now to yet another strange setting, this time a seemingly infinitely long series of twists and turns in an angular, box-like tunnel. Around your feet, dry-ice like, hangs a red mist smelling vaguely of any number of indeterminate odours. Along the walls you see a variety of weird and wonderful works of art, pleasant, frightening, curious and horrific, and the silence rings in your ears, paradoxically sounding almost like the low, muted hum of admiring conversation.
You turn a corner, and reach a large-reservoir like room. The ghostly drone in your mind has reached a greater level, and yet the sights around you cut right through the disquiet. Before you stand another doppleganger of the Maker and the Converter, this one dressed in an impeccable red silk suit, with a black shirt and shoes and everything else similarly sanguinal in colour. He carries a flashlight like some sort of weapon in one hand, and tips his hat to you in the other. "Hello there, I am the Curator" the youth grins in a warm, pleasant voice. "May I present to you some of the works with which I have been entrusted?"
The Green Lantern Ring - The powers of the mysterious artifact finally revealed. [Author: The Lord High Rikonian]
I'm pretty sure this covers all legal things so far...with any luck, I won't get my arse sued over any of the above. ^^;;; [Individual conversion netbooks will of course bear the correct disclaimers as well, so you won't find ALL of it here]
